Hi there!
In this article you will find information regarding the app and how it matches the products for the automatic recommendations. Also you'll be able to configure manual recommendations if your store is new, you have new products with no history or you simple want to personalize what products are displayed.
Automatic recommendations:
This is Upselleandola's default config.
Once you've installed the app, the app itself will analyze all your orders history with 2 or more items on it.
With this data, the app will match the products that customers are actually buying together, and it will display them next to the product being viewed, so it will look like this
*You can change the recommendations products quantity so it is not limited to only display 2 recommendations.
Manual recommendations:
Manual recommendations are basically products that you will bind with other productos manually to overwrite the automatic recommendations. This should be a must to configure if:
Your store is now and you have no order history.
You have new products and you want to show product recommendations
You want to personalize or overwrite automatic recommendations
This is how it works:
You can find this option in the left settings panel inside the app: "Manual Recommendations"
Once you´re in the "Manual Recommendations" menu, you will need to select a product and then you'll be able to add manual recommendations.
Click "Add recommendation" button.
In this pop up, you have to select the product to which you want to add the recommendations.
One you click on "Add recommendation" button, we will select the products you want to be displayed as recommended.
In this example, we'll configure manual recommendations for the product: "Polera Hija (Estrellas)".
We'll click on "add recommendation" then search for the product.
Once we have our desire product chosen, we'll click on "new recommendation" and select the products we want to recommend
This will display just like this:
